Thousands of people took part in Norwich Pride as the city's annual LGBTQ+ celebration marked its 18th anniversary.
Thousands of people filled the streets of Norwich as the city celebrated the 18th anniversary of Norwich Pride.
The annual event began with a colourful march through the city centre, bringing together members of the LGBTQ+ community, allies, charities, businesses and community groups in a celebration of diversity and inclusion.
Following the parade, crowds gathered across five stages where live music, entertainment, performances, talks and community activities continued throughout the day. Local organisations and support groups also hosted information stalls, offering advice and opportunities for people to connect with services and community networks.
Organisers said Norwich Pride continues to be rooted in unity, resilience and visibility, while also highlighting the ongoing campaign for equality and LGBTQ+ rights. They described the event as both a celebration of progress and a reminder that there is still work to be done to ensure everyone feels safe, respected and included.
Norwich Pride has grown significantly since it was first held in 2009 and is now one of the largest community events in the city's calendar, attracting thousands of participants and visitors each year.
Organisers thanked everyone who attended, volunteered and supported the event, saying the strong turnout demonstrated the continued importance of Pride to communities across Norfolk.
