Premier Inn Plans New Hunstanton Hotel

Wednesday, 22 July 2026 06:47

Premier Inn is planning a new 108-bedroom hotel in Hunstanton as part of a multi-million-pound investment in the West Norfolk resort.

Plans have been announced for a new 108-bedroom Premier Inn hotel in Hunstanton.

The proposed multi-million-pound development would be built on part of the Seagate East car park, subject to planning permission being granted.

The project is expected to bring a major hotel brand to the West Norfolk seaside resort and increase the number of rooms available for visitors staying overnight.

The Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk says the proposed investment represents a significant vote of confidence in Hunstanton and its future as a visitor destination.

The development would occupy part of the existing car park, with detailed proposals expected to set out the design of the hotel and any changes to parking provision around the site.

Supporters of the scheme hope additional hotel accommodation will encourage more visitors to stay in Hunstanton for longer, potentially bringing increased spending to local shops, restaurants and other businesses.

Premier Inn is one of the UK’s largest hotel operators and already has locations across Norfolk.

The proposals will need to go through the formal planning process before construction can begin, giving councillors and planning officers the opportunity to consider the development and any representations submitted by residents and businesses.

Further details, including a potential construction timetable and opening date, are expected as the plans progress.
