Norwich City have revealed revised plans for a smaller Carrow Road fan zone after withdrawing an earlier proposal following supporter criticism.
Norwich City have unveiled revised plans for a new fan zone at Carrow Road after an earlier proposal was withdrawn following criticism from supporters.
The football club has submitted a redesigned scheme for a smaller area behind the Community Stand, aimed at creating a space where supporters can meet before and after matches.
Plans include a large screen, a stage for live music and entertainment, seating areas and a range of food and drink outlets.
The revised proposal follows feedback on an earlier, larger scheme which prompted concerns from some supporters about its design and the impact it could have on the matchday experience around the stadium.
Norwich City subsequently withdrew those plans and returned with a scaled-back version.
The club hopes the new fan zone will improve the experience for supporters attending games at Carrow Road, while also creating a flexible space that could potentially be used for activities outside matchdays.
The proposals will now go through the planning process before any construction can begin.
If approved, the development would add to wider improvements around Carrow Road and give fans a dedicated area to gather before kick-off.
Further details about the opening date and how the fan zone would operate are expected if the revised plans receive approval.
