Patients at a South Norfolk GP practice face possible prescription delays after a cyber incident affected dispensary medication ordering systems.
Patients at a GP practice serving communities near Norwich are being warned that they could experience delays receiving their medication following an ongoing cyber incident.
Old Mill and Millgates Medical Practice, which operates surgeries in Poringland and Hempnall, has confirmed that its dispensary ordering systems have been affected.
The disruption means some patients may face longer waiting times when requesting or collecting prescriptions.
Practice staff are currently exploring alternative arrangements for supplying medicines in an effort to minimise the impact on patients who rely on regular medication.
The surgery operates dispensaries at both locations, providing prescription services for eligible patients living in surrounding villages and rural communities.
The practice has apologised for any inconvenience caused and says staff are working to maintain services while the issue is addressed.
It has not confirmed how long the disruption is expected to last or when normal dispensary ordering arrangements will resume.
Patients who are concerned about their medication are encouraged to contact the practice for advice, particularly if they are running low on essential prescriptions.
Old Mill Surgery in Poringland can be contacted on 01508 492929, while Millgates Surgery in Hempnall can be reached on 01508 499333.
The practice says it is continuing efforts to reduce delays and maintain access to medication for patients.
