Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library will reopen on 29 July following a major refurbishment designed to create a more accessible space.
The Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library will reopen to the public on Wednesday 29 July following a major refurbishment.
The library, based inside The Forum in Norwich city centre, has undergone improvements designed to modernise the building and make its facilities more accessible and flexible for visitors.
The revamped library will include additional study space, redesigned areas for children and families and improvements aimed at making it easier for people with different accessibility needs to use the building.
Visitors will also have access to new charging points for phones, laptops and other electronic devices.
The refurbishment is intended to ensure the library can continue meeting changing demands from the thousands of people who use its services for reading, studying, accessing computers and taking part in community activities.
While the main library has been closed, a temporary pop-up service has operated elsewhere within The Forum, allowing people to continue accessing a selection of library services.
The pop-up library is due to close on Friday 24 July ahead of the main library reopening five days later.
The Millennium Library is one of Norfolk’s busiest public libraries and serves residents from across Norwich and the wider county.
Normal services are expected to resume when the refurbished library opens its doors on 29 July.
