Wednesday, 22 July 2026 06:52

A 23-year-old London man is due before Norwich Crown Court charged with murdering 38-year-old Oliver Payne in Norwich in 2024.

A 23-year-old London man is due to appear at Norwich Crown Court charged with the murder of Oliver Payne in Norwich.

Jahziah Harrison is accused of killing the 38-year-old following an incident at Paragon Place on 2 August 2024.

Emergency services attended after reports that Mr Payne had been stabbed, but despite efforts to save him, he died at the scene.

Harrison faces a number of charges, including murder and manslaughter, as well as offences relating to possession of a bladed article, drug supply and perverting the course of justice.

He was arrested by authorities in France on 6 July 2026 before being returned to the UK and appearing at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on 21 July. He was remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Norwich Crown Court on 22 July.

Further charges relating to a separate incident include possession of a bladed article, grievous bodily harm and drug offences.

Three women were also arrested in London on suspicion of assisting an offender as part of the wider investigation and were released under investigation.

The charges against Harrison remain allegations and the case is now subject to active court proceedings.
