Man Dies In A47 Collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 20s died following a collision with a lorry on the A47.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a lorry on the A47 near Norwich.

Emergency services were called to the westbound carriageway between the Colney and Longwater junctions on Friday night following reports of a collision.

A pedestrian, a man aged in his 20s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed while emergency services attended and officers carried out initial investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Norfolk Police are now asking anyone who witnessed what happened or saw the pedestrian or lorry in the area before the collision to come forward.

Officers are particularly interested in hearing from motorists who were travelling along the A47 at around the time of the incident and may have relevant dashcam footage.

The investigation into the circumstances of the man’s death remains ongoing.

Anyone with information that could assist officers is being asked to contact Norfolk Police, quoting the relevant incident reference.

Police have not released any further details about the man who died.
