A man has died and eight other people were injured following a multi-vehicle collision on the A148 at Hillington in West Norfolk.
Emergency services were called on Saturday afternoon after four cars were involved in the crash.
A man in his 20s, who was travelling as a passenger in one of the vehicles, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Eight other people were injured in the collision, with emergency services attending to those involved.
Norfolk Police closed the road while emergency crews dealt with the incident and specialist officers examined the scene.
An investigation is now under way to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward. They are particularly interested in hearing from motorists who were travelling along the A148 around the time of the incident and may have relevant dashcam footage.
The man's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
