A Norfolk village may have recorded the UK's hottest ever June temperature.

A Norfolk village may have recorded the UK's hottest ever June temperature.

The Met Office says thermometers hit 37.7 Celsius in Lingwood, east of Norwich, on Friday.

If verified, it would be at the previous June record set during the 1976 heatwave.

Forecasters say temperatures have now cooled, but could rise again next week.
