More than 100 residents at Norwich flats are living with round-the-clock fire patrols while further safety checks are carried out.
More than 100 residents at a Norwich housing development are living with a 24-hour fire safety patrol after concerns were identified during an inspection.
Fire wardens have been stationed at flats in Foulgers Opening, off Ber Street, since June as a precaution while further checks are carried out.
Housing association Orbit Group, which manages the properties, says the wardens are fully trained and patrol the development around the clock to help keep residents safe.
The measure, known as a waking watch, was introduced after the buildings failed a fire safety inspection.
Orbit says it is continuing to assess what work may be needed to address the concerns, with possible measures including the installation of communal fire alarms.
However, some residents say they have received limited information about exactly why the buildings failed the inspection or how long the temporary arrangements will remain in place.
They are calling for clearer communication about the problems identified and what will happen next.
Orbit says it understands the presence of fire wardens may feel unusual and has apologised for any disruption.
The housing association has not yet given a date for when the waking watch is expected to end.
