Norwich City made a convincing start to their competitive season with a 4-1 Carabao Cup victory over MK Dons.
Norwich City have made a winning start to their competitive season after comfortably beating MK Dons 4-1 in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The Canaries made a flying start at Carrow Road, with Mohamed Toure scoring inside the opening minute before Anis Slimane doubled the advantage just minutes later.
Norwich continued to dominate and went into half-time with a commanding 3-0 lead after Ben Chrisene added the third shortly before the break.
MK Dons pulled one back early in the second half, but any hopes of a comeback were quickly ended when Andre Brooks scored Norwich's fourth to restore their three-goal advantage.
The result sends Norwich comfortably through to the second round of the Carabao Cup and provides a positive start ahead of their Championship campaign.
Attention now turns to league action, with the Canaries beginning their Championship season against West Bromwich Albion at Carrow Road on Saturday, August 15.
The convincing cup victory gives Norwich an early boost as they begin their first full campaign under head coach Philippe Clement.
