Thursday, 27 August 2026 08:44

A Caister man has pleaded not guilty to four sexual offences involving two teenage girls following an incident in Great Yarmouth.

A 35-year-old man from Caister-on-Sea has pleaded not guilty to four sexual offences involving two teenage girls in Great Yarmouth.

Dawid Wlach, of Dover Court, appeared at Norwich Crown Court on Wednesday 26 August for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

He denied two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault by penetration and one count of sexual assault.

The charges relate to allegations involving two teenage girls on South Beach in Great Yarmouth during the early hours of Saturday 16 May.

Norfolk Police launched an investigation following reports that the girls had been sexually assaulted and raped.

Wlach was charged in July and has been granted conditional bail until his trial.

A second defendant, Madalin Ilinca, 34, of Great Yarmouth, has also pleaded not guilty to charges relating to the same incident.

He remains in custody ahead of the trial.

Both men are due to stand trial at Norwich Crown Court from Monday 7 December.

The trial is provisionally expected to last around ten days.
