A11 Police Operation Leads To 47 Arrests

Tuesday, 28 July 2026 16:37

A week-long police operation on the A11 at Thetford resulted in dozens of arrests, charges and vehicle seizures.

A total of 47 people were arrested during a week-long police operation targeting crime and road safety on the A11 at Thetford.

Operation Foxtel brought together police and partner agencies to tackle a range of offences, including organised crime, drug activity, dangerous driving and immigration offences along one of the region's key transport routes.

Of those arrested, 11 people have been charged with offences including the supply of drugs, immigration breaches, fraud and possession of a knife.

The operation also resulted in 56 vehicles being seized for a variety of offences, while officers issued 88 traffic offence reports covering issues such as uninsured driving, defective vehicles and other motoring offences.

Police say operations like Foxtel are designed to disrupt criminal activity, improve road safety and identify offenders using the strategic road network to travel through the region.

The week of action involved specialist officers carrying out intelligence-led vehicle stops, checks and enforcement activity, working alongside partner organisations to tackle a wide range of criminality.

Officers say they will continue carrying out similar operations across Norfolk to deter offending, keep the county's roads safe and protect local communities.
