A 49-year-old man has been charged with an immigration offence after police discovered six men and a teenage boy in the back of a lorry in Norfolk.
Officers were called to Harling Road in Snetterton at approximately 11.58am on Thursday 29 October following reports that a heavy goods vehicle had arrived carrying several people.
When police attended the scene, they found six adult men and a teenage boy inside the rear of the vehicle.
The driver, Manuel Santos Martinez, 49, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of assisting unlawful immigration into the United Kingdom.
He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
All six adult men discovered in the vehicle were arrested on suspicion of entering the UK illegally and subsequently transferred to immigration enforcement authorities.
The teenage boy was placed in the care of children's services.
One of the adult men, aged in his thirties, was additionally arrested on suspicion of assisting unlawful immigration and has been released on bail until 12 January 2027.
Martinez was subsequently charged with doing an act to facilitate a breach of UK immigration law by a non-UK national.
He appeared before Norwich Magistrates' Court on Saturday 31 October, where he was remanded in custody.
He is due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on Monday 30 November 2026.
