A Drayton man has been jailed for secretly filming girls in bathrooms and possessing hundreds of indecent images of children.
A man from Drayton near Norwich has been jailed for three years and eight months after secretly filming young girls in bathrooms and possessing hundreds of indecent images of children.
Gaven Clarke, 41, of Brancaster Close, was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on Thursday 29 October after admitting two counts of voyeurism, four counts of making indecent images of children and three counts of taking indecent images.
The court heard that Clarke used hidden cameras between 2020 and 2025 to record girls without their knowledge while they were using bathrooms, showering or getting changed.
His offending was discovered after one victim found a mobile phone hidden behind toiletries on a bathroom shelf.
After examining the device, she discovered footage of herself and alerted her parents, who reported the matter to police.
Clarke was arrested in May 2025, and officers seized electronic devices containing images of other victims alongside hundreds of downloaded indecent images.
Victim impact statements described the lasting emotional distress caused by his actions.
Clarke was sentenced to 44 months in prison and placed on the sex offenders' register for life.
He was also made subject to an indefinite restraining order and a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Norfolk Police praised the victims for their bravery and encouraged anyone experiencing sexual offences to come forward.
