Wednesday, 16 September 2026 08:02

A second man has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery following a series of incidents targeting men in Norwich.

A second man has been charged in connection with a series of robberies targeting men in Norwich.

Bradley Dumbrill, 19, of Notley Road in Braintree, Essex, has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

He appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Monday 14 September and was remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing at Norwich Crown Court.

The charge forms part of an investigation into three robberies which police believe are linked.

Two of the incidents involved meetings arranged through the Grindr dating app.

In one case, a man was assaulted at Gildencroft Quaker Cemetery in Chatham Street before his phone was stolen and more than £1,000 transferred from his account.

Another man has already been charged in connection with the investigation.

Billy Ross, 22, of Sussex Street in Norwich, is also accused of conspiracy to commit robbery and has been remanded in custody.

A man in his 30s arrested on suspicion of robbery and attempted robbery has been released on bail.

A further man in his late teens, arrested on suspicion of two robberies, has also been released on bail while enquiries continue.

Norfolk Police says its investigation into the series remains ongoing.
