A Norwich man has been banned from a number of shops across the city after admitting theft.
Leif Doolan-Notschild, 27, of Pyes Yard, appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on 24 August and pleaded guilty to stealing steaks from a shop on Prince of Wales Road.
The offence took place on 15 December 2025.
Magistrates imposed a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order following an application by Norfolk Police.
The order prevents Doolan-Notschild from entering a number of retailers across Norwich, including B&M and Morrisons on Albion Way, Aldi on Drayton Road, Hannants Newsagents in Magdalen Street, Holland & Barrett in White Lion Street and Farmfoods in Westwick Street.
He is also banned from Tesco and Co-op stores within the area defined by Norwich’s outer ring road.
Doolan-Notschild was also handed a 20-week prison sentence, suspended for two years.
Norfolk Police says the order was sought because of his repeated involvement in shop theft across the city.
Officers say persistent shoplifting can have a significant impact on businesses, retail workers and customers.
Police say the Criminal Behaviour Order gives officers additional powers to act if any of its conditions are breached.
