Norwich residents say overnight delivery drivers serving an Earlham Road Co-op are disturbing their sleep with noise during the night.
Residents in Norwich have complained about noise from late-night delivery drivers serving a Co-op store on Earlham Road.
People living at nearby Earlham House say the store’s 24-hour delivery operation is causing disruption as drivers arrive and leave throughout the night.
Neighbours have reported problems including loud music, vehicles braking and accelerating, and drivers talking outside the store during the early hours.
Some residents say the disturbance is affecting their sleep and have raised their concerns with Norwich City Council.
The Co-op store itself is not open to customers around the clock, but orders can continue to be collected overnight by delivery drivers working through services including Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats.
Co-op says it recognises the importance of being a responsible neighbour and is working with its delivery partners to minimise the impact on people living nearby.
Signs have also been placed at the store asking riders to keep noise to a minimum during overnight hours.
Just Eat and Deliveroo have both said they remind couriers about the need to respect local communities.
Co-op says it will continue monitoring the situation and engaging with residents and the council.
