Heritage Live has cancelled its 2026 festivals, including major Sandringham concerts featuring Lionel Richie, Christina Aguilera and Eric Clapton this August.
This summer’s Heritage Live festivals have been cancelled, including five major concerts planned for the Royal Sandringham Estate in August.
The Sandringham programme was due to run from 19 to 23 August, featuring Janet Jackson, Lionel Richie, Christina Aguilera, Ricky Martin and Eric Clapton. Several of the appearances had been promoted as exclusive UK performances.
Organiser GCE Live has also cancelled its planned Heritage Live events at Audley End in Essex and Englefield Estate in Berkshire.
The company said it had been working to secure an investment and equity package to ease financial pressure, but the proposed rescue arrangement collapsed at the last minute.
GCE Live also blamed rising production costs, increased competition within the festival market and weaker-than-expected ticket sales for some events. It said proceeding without certainty that suppliers, performers and crews could be paid would have been irresponsible.
The organiser described the decision as devastating and apologised to customers, artists and staff affected by the cancellations.
People who purchased tickets through official outlets have been promised full refunds. Many refunds are expected to be processed automatically, although customers should check guidance from the ticket provider used for their booking.
The cancellations bring an abrupt end to a programme expected to attract thousands of music fans to Sandringham and provide a significant boost for nearby businesses and accommodation providers.
