Norfolk Police declared they were dealing with a major incident, but later removed the post and said there was no major incident.
On Sunday morning Norfolk Police reported they were dealing with a major incident, and were unable to handle non-emergency calls.
The police advised people to visit their website for information about the incident and how to report non-emergency incidents, however, there were no updates on the website regarding the incident.
They reminded people only to to call 999 in an emergency on the post to their X account, which was later deleted.

Attempts were made to contact Norfolk Police who have not responded, but later posted a statement on X to say that the post was "published in error", and that no major incident had been declared in Norfolk.
