Norwich YouTuber JaackMaate and his Happy Hour podcast co-hosts will switch on the city's Christmas lights this November outside City Hall.
Norwich's Christmas lights will be switched on by one of the city's best-known YouTubers and his podcast co-hosts this November.
Jack Dean, better known as JaackMaate, will be joined by Stevie White and Robbie Knox from the popular Happy Hour podcast for the annual festive celebration on Thursday 19 November 2026.
Thousands of people are expected to gather outside City Hall for the free event, which will feature live performances, music and seasonal entertainment before the lights are illuminated at 7pm.
The three presenters had previously revealed on their podcast that switching on Norwich's Christmas lights was something they had always dreamed of doing.
Their wish was granted when Norwich's Lord Mayor, Councillor Karen Davies, surprised them during a podcast recording with a formal invitation to lead the celebrations.
The event will begin at 5.30pm, with festive entertainment taking place around City Hall, Hay Hill and Norwich Market.
Organisers say the evening will celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season while encouraging people to visit the city centre's shops, restaurants and other businesses.
The celebrations will also coincide with the launch of new festive activities, including a Love Letters Trail and the Norwich Winter Sessions programme.
This year's Christmas lights will remain illuminated until the end of January 2027, extending the festive atmosphere into the new year.
The event is free to attend, with no tickets required.
