East Of England could get a dental school

Plans for the first dental school in eastern England have taken a step forward.

The University of East Anglia in Norwich has been provisionally allocated 25 training places for future dentists.

If final approval is confirmed, the university hopes to welcome its first students in September 2027.

Officials say the move could help tackle the shortage of NHS dentists across Norfolk and the wider region.
