Three teenage boys have been rescued by Caister Lifeboat after drifting 2.5 miles out to sea.
Caister Lifeboat have warned the public about the dangers of taking inflatables in the sea following an incident where three teenage boys ended up drifting 2.5 miles away from the shore. With the hot weather ahead this week it is strongly advised not to use inflatables in the sea.
The Lifeboat crew received calls that three people on an inflatable had drifted out to sea in windy conditions around 12 noon on Wednesday.
The three boys who were all aged under 16, were found drifting away from the shore. They were recovered and brought safely back to the beach by the crew.
Richard Thurlow, joint coxswain of Caister Lifeboat advised the public to leave inflatables at the swimming pools and not to take them to the beach.
