After nearly 20 years Norwich marketplace could be up for a revamp, according to a recent survey.
The last refurb of the marketplace was back in 2006 when old wooden structures were replaced with new metal ones.
Recently Norwich City Council launched a consultation on different ideas to see what people wanted. Seven out of ten people have backed the idea for a redesign. A popular design was one which contained a central court which is a historic part of the marketplace.
The council have said it would invest £740,000 on the plans, which include a revised layout along with other security updates including shutters and CCTV.
The council said a detailed business plan would now be put together before any final decisions are made.
