Norfolk County Council's chief executive has resigned a month after Reform UK took control of the authority.
Tom McCabe has held the role since 2018 and was paid £209,000 a year.
His departure comes as a council challenges government plans to replace Norfolk's current council structure with three new unitary authorities.
The council says it will appoint an acting chief executive.
