Two first-half goals condemned Norwich City to defeat at home to Middlesbrough in the Sky Bet Championship.
Jacob Wright returned to the starting line-up against Rob Edwards' Boro side, with Kenny McLean making his return from injury with a place on the bench.
In the opening stages, Ante Crnac did good work in-behind the Middlesbrough defence to find Jack Stacey, whose eventual effort was blocked well by Dael Fry.
The Canaries did register the game's first big chance, as Josh Sargent got on the end of Wright's cross, but couldn't guide his header on goal.
Papa Amadou Diallo came closest to opening the scoring in the first half-hour, as his curled effort from the edge of the area went narrowly wide of Sol Brynn's posts.
Diallo, again, came close with an effort. Stacey's searching ball across goal found the Senegalese international, but he fired over.
Aidan Morris very nearly took advantage of a defensive mix-up, but his chipped effort was over Vladan Kovačević's goal.
Finn Azaz would open the scoring for the visitors shortly after, a deflection taking his attempt beyond Kovačević at the near post.
Moments later, Boro doubled their lead. Hayden Hackney won the ball high up the pitch and fed Morris, whose ball across goal gave Tommy Conway a tap in.
Not long before the hour mark, Norwich were reduced to 10 men as Wright saw red.
Mirko Topić wasn't far away from reducing the deficit, but the Serbian's effort was wide of the post.
With five minutes to go, Norwich pulled a goal back. Josh Sargent latched onto McLean's long ball forward and lifted the ball over the goalkeeper to score.
But it would end in defeat as Boro claimed all three points.
