Christmas Markets 2026

Christmas market season is getting underway across Norfolk and North Suffolk, with everything from huge festive shopping events to small local makers' markets planned between now and Christmas.

Whether you're looking for handmade presents, local food and drink or simply somewhere to enjoy a mulled wine and soak up some festive atmosphere, there are plenty to choose from.

Christmas Markets in Norwich

Norwich has a particularly busy programme this year.

The Craft & Flea Christmas Market comes to The Halls on Sunday 8 November, bringing together more than 60 independent makers.

The Forum then hosts a succession of markets including UNIK Design on 13–14 November, Folk & Bespoke on 14 November, the City of Literature Christmas Market on 21 November, Norwich Vegans Christmas Market on 22 November and the Global Village Christmas Market from 3–5 December.

The Assembly House holds its own Christmas fairs on 22 and 29 November.

Perhaps the biggest newcomer is the Christkindl Market at Chapelfield Gardens, running from 11–20 December.

Inspired by traditional German Christmas markets, it will feature chalet-style stalls, independent makers, festive food and drink and entertainment on the bandstand.

Great Yarmouth Christmas Fayre – 20–22 November

Great Yarmouth Minster hosts the town's three-day Christmas Fayre from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November.

More than 30 specialist craft, food and gift stalls will fill the Minster.

It opens from 10am until 8pm on Friday to coincide with Great Yarmouth's Christmas lights switch-on, then from 10am–5pm Saturday and 10am–4pm Sunday.

Father Christmas will make appearances during the weekend and a free festive road train will run between the Market Place and Minster on Saturday and Sunday.

North Walsham Christmas Market – 29 November

North Walsham follows its Saturday night light switch-on with a Christmas Market in the Market Place on Sunday 29 November from 10am until 2pm.

It runs alongside the town's regular Sunday market and is expected to concentrate on local produce, food and gifts.

Wroxham Barns Christmas Makers Market – 5–6 December

Wroxham Barns teams up with The Best of Norfolk for a two-day Christmas Makers Market on 5 and 6 December from 10am until 3pm.

Independent artisans, makers and creators will be joined by live music, with the venue's resident studios also open.

Entry and parking are both free.

Holkham Christmas Market – 11–13 December

One of the biggest destination Christmas markets in North Norfolk returns to Holkham from 11–13 December.

More than 60 local producers will fill the Lady Elizabeth Wing and outdoor festive chalets with food, drink, crafts and gifts.

The market runs from 10am until 4pm each day and is free to enter, although a parking charge applies.

Visitors can also combine the market with Holkham by Candlelight.

Beccles Christmas Market – 20 December

For those leaving some shopping until closer to Christmas, the Beccles Sunday Christmas Market takes place on Sunday 20 December from 9am until 5pm.

Independent makers, small businesses and food traders will fill Exchange Square, Sheepgate and surrounding streets, accompanied by live Christmas entertainment.

This is just the beginning of the Christmas market calendar. We'll keep adding newly-confirmed markets and festive fairs across Norfolk and North Suffolk in the weeks ahead.
