Norwich City made it four Sky Bet Championship wins in a row with a 2-0 victory at home to Preston North End at Carrow Road.
Ben Chrisene, Pelle Mattsson and Liam Gibbs all came in for starts as Philippe Clement made three changes to the side that were 2-1 winners over Sheffield United on Wednesday night.
The first chance fell to the away side as Daniel Jebbison reacted well to a weak header back from Harry Darling. He lifted the ball over Vladan Kovačević, but could only find the side-netting.
Norwich went ahead after 17 minutes through Ali Ahmed. Mathias Kvistgaarden's initial effort was parried away by Daniel Iversen, with the Canadian international reacting quickest to tap into an empty net.
Kvistgaarden nearly made it two shortly after, bringing a ball forward down well but the Dane fired wide of Iversen's post.
Kovačević was alert to deny a Preston attempt, with the goalkeeper making a comfortable save to deny Ben Whiteman's header.
The lead was doubled not long before half-time. Kenny McLean found the top corner superbly-hit free-kick, leaving Iversen with to chance.
It was very nearly three not long after. Gibbs saw an effort hit the crossbar, before Kvistgaarden's header was cleared off the line.
In the second half, Andrew Hughes should've hit the target for Preston but his header was well wide of the post.
Former Norwich loanee Lewis Dobbin wasn't too far away with an effort just outside the box.
A combination of Kovačević and José Córdoba did well to throw themselves in front of a flurry of chances from the visitors.
Clement's side have won four league games in a row and have moved up to 12th in the table and travel to face Southampton on Wednesday day in their next Championship clash.
