Age UK Norwich are launching their second Happy To Chat Bench in memory of Dawn Lossau on Thursday 31st July.
This new bench has been kindly contributed to by The People Kit and Leathes Prior, and it is dedicated in memory of Dawn Lossau, a valued colleague of Leathes Prior and a dedicated volunteer befriender with Age UK Norwich. Dawn’s warmth and compassion touched the lives of many, and we are honoured to mark her legacy in this meaningful way.
Dawn was very much loved member of the original Broadland team who was dedicated to her job, professional, and bought many laughs to the team. Dawn is pictured above with her husband Darrell, and their late daughter Maisie.
Bob Norman, Broadland Radio Managing Director hired Dawn as part of the old team and remembers her fondly. "I remember the day I recruited Dawn to join the accounts team at Radio Broadland. She started quietly but there was something there within Dawn that was going to show itself. It did just that. She became two-sided. On the one hand formidable in her role as credit controller. There were no safer hands for the role. On the other hand Dawn was the quintessential colleague, friend and mum. No one had a bigger heart or personality than Dawn. No one cared like Dawn. An omnipresence always and forever missed."
There will be speeches at 1:00pm, followed a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the bench opposite Leathes Prior offices, within the Norwich Cathedral grounds
