Chris & Georgy take over Breakfast on Broadland

Broadland has announced Chris & Georgy as the new hosts of its weekday breakfast show, bringing plenty of laughs, local conversation and feel-good music to mornings across Norfolk and North Suffolk.

Chris & Georgy will present Breakfast on Broadland every Monday to Friday from 6.30am until 10am, becoming the new voices waking up the region each weekday.

The pair already have a strong on-air chemistry, mixing the things everyone is talking about with stories from everyday life, listener interaction, local news and plenty of fun.

The new show puts local listeners firmly at its heart, with Chris & Georgy talking about everything from family life and the things going wrong at home to what people are watching, talking about and sharing online.

Chris said:

“There is something really special about breakfast radio because you become part of people’s everyday routine. Whether someone is getting the kids ready for school, sitting in traffic, starting an early shift or just making that first cup of coffee, we want them to feel like they’re spending the morning with friends.

“Georgy and I genuinely make each other laugh, usually when we probably shouldn’t, and we want that to come across on air. If we can send people into their day smiling, then we’re doing our job.”

Georgy added:

“I’m so excited about what we’re building with the show. Chris and I are very different people, which is probably why it works! There’s always something to disagree about, laugh about or confess to.

“Most importantly, we want our listeners to be a huge part of the programme. Breakfast should feel local, current and completely connected to what people across Norfolk and North Suffolk are doing and talking about that morning.”

For listeners who miss anything during the week, The Best of Chris & Georgy will be broadcast every Sunday from 10am for three hours, bringing together some of the funniest conversations, biggest moments and best listener stories from the week.

The pair also host the weekly Best of Chris & Georgy podcast, available through the Broadland app and wherever listeners normally get their podcasts, allowing audiences to catch up whenever it suits them.

Chris & Georgy take over the Breakfast show from Rob and Dawn, who have decided to step back from the programme at this time.
