Antingham and Southrepps Primary School is celebrating 200 years of education, with generations of local families passing through its doors.
A Norfolk primary school is celebrating its 200th anniversary after educating generations of local families in the same historic building.
Antingham and Southrepps Primary School was built in 1826 by Lord Suffield to provide an education for children whose families worked on his estate.
Two centuries later, the Grade II-listed building remains at the heart of the local community.
Past and present pupils have joined former members of staff for anniversary celebrations looking back at how school life has changed during the past 200 years.
Although additions have been made over time, including a Victorian extension and more recent teaching facilities, much of the original school building remains in use.
School leaders say generations of families from Antingham, Southrepps and surrounding villages have walked through the same doors.
The school currently forms part of the Synergy Multi-Academy Trust and continues to educate children from the surrounding rural communities.
Executive deputy headteacher Sian Gowland says reaching the 200-year milestone is hugely significant and the school remains an important part of community life.
The anniversary celebrations have also provided an opportunity to share memories, photographs and stories from former pupils and staff.
School leaders say they hope the historic building will continue educating local children for many generations to come.
