Where to Watch England v Mexico in Norfolk and North Suffolk

England’s World Cup adventure continues in the early hours of Monday morning, with the Three Lions taking on Mexico in the Round of 16.

The match kicks off at 1am on Monday 6 July, which means it is not exactly the easiest one for fans to watch. But with England now into the knockout stages, plenty of people will still be setting alarms, staying up late, or looking for somewhere with a proper match atmosphere.

Pubs and bars in England and Wales have been given permission to stay open later for the game, but that does not mean every venue will be opening. Fans are being urged to check directly with pubs, bars and sports venues before heading out.

Locally, some venues have already listed plans to show the match. In Norwich, Walnut Tree Shades is advertising the 1am kick-off and says it will be open until 3am. Visit Norwich also lists The Warwick Arms and The Whalebone among venues showing 1am World Cup kick-offs.

In Great Yarmouth, Feathers is also listing Mexico v England at 1am and says it will be open until 3am for fans. In North Suffolk, The Volunteer in Lowestoft is promoting the game too, with the match shown live and the venue open until 3am.

There are also other local venues listing World Cup coverage, including Gemini in Dereham, but fans should check the venue’s own website or social media before travelling, especially with such a late kick-off.

For those watching at home, it may be a case of an early night, a very loud alarm, and plenty of coffee ready for Monday morning.

Are you staying up for England v Mexico? And do you know a local venue showing the game? Let us know, and we can help spread the word.
