Olly Murs Is Coming to Great Yarmouth Beach

Great Yarmouth is getting another major live music event next summer, with Olly Murs confirmed to perform a headline show right on the beach.

The singer will take to the stage on Friday 18 June 2027 as part of On The Beach, a major outdoor music event which is expanding to Great Yarmouth for the first time.

The festival has spent the past six years staging shows on Brighton's seafront but will now bring the concept to Great Yarmouth's sandy beach and famous Golden Mile, with four days of music planned from 17 to 20 June 2027.

And Olly Murs is the first headline artist to be announced.

It's a significant booking for the town, bringing one of Britain's best-known pop entertainers to the Norfolk coast for what promises to be a huge summer evening.

Olly has been a familiar face and voice since first appearing on The X Factor in 2009. Since then, he has released eight studio albums, five of which have reached number one in the UK, while more than two million tickets have been sold for his live shows.

His catalogue includes some of the biggest British pop hits of the past 15 years, including Dance With Me Tonight, Troublemaker, Heart Skips a Beat, Wrapped Up, Dear Darlin' and Please Don't Let Me Go.

In 2025, Olly celebrated 15 years in music with a sold-out UK arena tour, and his 2027 summer dates will see him heading back outdoors for another run of live shows around the country.

Great Yarmouth is one of just a handful of locations included in that summer schedule.

The On The Beach event itself is already well established in Brighton, where previous line-ups have included artists such as Fatboy Slim, Moby, Madness, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, The Libertines, Kaiser Chiefs and The Kooks.

Great Yarmouth will mark the festival's first expansion beyond Brighton.

Organisers say the town's sandy beach and Golden Mile made it a natural setting for the event, with further artists and headliners expected to be announced.

The Olly Murs show is currently advertised as a 16+ event, with 16 and 17-year-olds required to attend with an adult ticket holder. Fans should check the official ticket information before booking, as conditions may vary between ticket types.

General ticket sales are due to open at 10am on Friday 2 October 2026.

For Great Yarmouth, this is another opportunity to put the seafront firmly on the map as a destination for large-scale live entertainment.

And there can't be many better ways to start a Norfolk summer weekend than thousands of people on the beach singing along to Dance With Me Tonight.
