Sheringham 1940s Weekend

Sheringham 1940s Weekend takes place from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September 2026, bringing vintage atmosphere, music and heritage celebrations to Sheringham, Holt and the North Norfolk Railway.

The major heritage weekend sees the towns and railway step back in time, with period dress, vintage entertainment, markets, military displays, classic vehicles and a busy programme of activities. It attracts thousands of visitors each year and is one of North Norfolk’s best-known autumn events.

The North Norfolk Railway’s Steam Back to the Forties event also runs across the weekend, with steam trains, displays and entertainment at stations including Sheringham, Weybourne and Holt.

Town activities are largely free to enjoy, while travel on the railway is ticketed.
