Norwich History Festival

Norwich History Festival runs from Tuesday 14 to Friday 24 July 2026, with events taking place across the city.
The festival returns for its second year with the theme “Why History Matters,” celebrating the people, places and stories that have helped shape Norwich. The programme includes talks, debates, walks, tours, music, theatre, film, workshops, exhibitions and more.
Events are planned at venues across Norwich, with options for families, history lovers and anyone interested in discovering more about the city’s past. Some events are free, while others are ticketed, giving visitors a flexible way to enjoy the festival and explore Norwich’s heritage.
The 2026 programme includes 34 talks, 30 walks and a wide range of other events across the city.
